Welcome to SURGE 2026!!!
The Middle School SURGE team is made up of amazing students that are currently in grades 6-8 (entering grades 7-9 in the fall of 2026). In order to join this team, you must have a parent or guardian serving at SURGE on campus the week of camp.
We are so excited to have you serving on the SURGE Team!

Dates to know:
1. May 31st at 4 pm - ALL TEAM MEMBER meeting in the Worship Center at West Ridge Church. You will be learning about your role at camp and meeting with your leaders, so please plan to be there.
2. June 8th - 12th - SURGE Camp Week!!! Monday - Thursday camp is from 6-9 pm and you will serve from about 5:15 to 9:15 nightly. On Friday, we will have Family Finale from 6-7:15, and though you are not required to attend this event, you are invited to attend and we would love to have you there!
3. June 8th - Report to the Middle School Helper Check-in Desk in front of the World Cafe between 5:15-5:30 pm to check in and get your name tag. For Tuesday - Thursday, you will not need to check back in, but rather you will go directly to your assigned area upon arrival.
Helpful info to know about where you can sign up to serve:
*Small Group Leader Helper - You will assist a small group leader with his/her group of kids throughout all of camp – large group, track (sport or art) time, and small group time. (YOU DO NOT NEED TO SERVE DIRECTLY WITH YOUR PARENT IN THIS ROLE, BUT REMEMBER THAT YOUR PARENT OR GUARDIAN STILL HAS TO BE SERVING SOMEWHERE AT CAMP.)
*Track Leader Helper - You will assist the track leaders and assistants with the sport or art that they are teaching the kids. You are in the track area throughout camp each night. (YOU DO NOT NEED TO SERVE DIRECTLY WITH YOUR PARENT IN THIS ROLE, BUT REMEMBER THAT YOUR PARENT OR GUARDIAN STILL HAS TO BE SERVING SOMEWHERE AT CAMP.)
*SURGE Jr Helper - You must serve directly alongside your parent OR be a West Ridge Kids Sunday morning team member to choose this option. You will assist the SURGE Jr. team in providing a SURGE-like experience for SURGE team member kids that are birth to upcoming kindergarteners. Please note that this team is required to arrive by 5 p.m. each night.
*Parent Helper - This role allows you to serve with your parent on the Guest Services, Parking, Campus Support, Resource, Registration, Early Drop-Off, or Stage Assistance Teams. Middle Schoolers cannot serve on any of these teams unless their parent is signed up for the team and the middle schooler serves directly alongside their parent.
