Dates to know:
1. May 31st at 4 pm - ALL TEAM MEMBER meeting in the Worship Center at West Ridge Church. You will hear and have a chance to ask questions about the "must-knows" of SURGE camp; you will meet with your specific SURGE team and leaders; you will pick up your SURGE t-shirt; and best of all, you will be prayed over!!! Don't miss it!

2. June 8th - 12th - SURGE Camp Week!!! Monday - Thursday camp is from 6-9 pm and you will serve from about 5:15 to 9:15 nightly. On Friday, we will have a Family Finale from 6-7:15, and though most of you will not have a serving role, we would love for you to attend!
Things to know about your serving choices:
1. Early Drop-Off Team - This team serves at SURGE from about 4:30-6 p.m. each evening. They hang out with SURGE team members’ kids in the Kids Theater from 4:30 pm - 5:40 pm. Then they escort those kids to their designated areas to start camp. The Early Drop-off Team allows other team members to get to their serving spots before camp drop-off begins.
2. Guest Services Team - This team is the customer service side of SURGE. They welcome and encourage families and kids as they arrive and leave camp each night, greeting everyone with a smile and helping them get where they need to be. They also provide support for the parking team when needed and help monitor restrooms during camp hours.
3. Parking Team - This team assists SURGE families and team members get safely onto campus and parked before (a little throughout) and after camp each night. They are among the first to arrive (4:15pm) and the last to leave (around 9:40), BUT they have a break for fun and fellowship in between!
4. Set-up Team - This team helps get both campuses (WRC and EPMS) ready for camp on the Sunday before SURGE starts. They usually work from 3 p.m. to about 8 p.m. Tables and chairs are moved, signs are placed, supplies and equipment are unloaded and put in position, etc. This team transforms WRC and EPMS into…drum roll please…SURGE Camp.
5. Small Group Leaders (SGLs) - SGLs are the kids’ shepherds at camp! Each SGL will have a group of around 6-8 kids that they lead Monday through Thursday of camp. SGLs are with their kids from the time their parents drop them off until the parents return to pick them up. SGLs lead their kids in a small group time that includes a Bible story review, prayer, fellowship, and fun activities (We give you everything you need to be a success!). They also encourage, maintain structure, and participate alongside their kids in large group and track time. It will take between 180 and 200 SGLs to give our kids the best SURGE experience possible, and it has been said that being an SGL will give you the best SURGE experience possible, as well!
6. Special Needs One-on-One Team - This team provides the one-on-one support that some kids need to have a great week of camp. Each Special Needs One-on-One Team Member will be paired with one kid throughout camp week. As their "buddy," these team members are with their assigned kids from drop-off until pick-up, helping them participate in camp to the best of their ability.
7. Substitutes - Cannot be at SURGE camp Monday - Thursday? No problem! This might be the position for you! While a sub can be called on to fill in for any camp position, the most common spot is to assist an SGL or to fill in for an absent SGL.
8. SURGE Jr. Team - This team provides a camp-like experience for team members’ kids who are birth to Pre-K age. This team starts at 4:45 and goes until 9:30 pm. These team members are the unseen heroes of SURGE - without them, many team members could not
9. Tear Down Team - last but not least, this team serves on Thursday night after camp ends to return the WRC and EPMS campuses back to what it was before SURGE took over.
