    SURGE is a week-long evening summer camp, for kids entering 1st-6th grade (current K-5th graders), designed to point kids towards Jesus!

    We are really excited that your kids (and their friends) will be signing up to be a part of SURGE camp!

    Here are some important tips / reminders / links / and info you'll need to know:

    - SURGE is June 8-12 // 6pm to 9pm each evening // Our location is West Ridge Church & East Paulding Middle School // SURGE is for rising 1st through 6th graders (current K-5th grade).

    - Sign-Up Tips: *Review tracks with your kids in advance and know 3-4 tracks that they will be happy with. *Double-check that the parent name and kid name are in the correct spot! Auto-correct occasionally makes changes. *We only accept credit cards. * You can only register one child at a time. Have another adult(s) with a device if you need to register multiple kids at one time. 

    - You'll choose ONE sport or art track to be a part of all week long.

    - You will register and pay for 1 child at a time. 

    - Space in each sport and art is limited. SORRY—NO REFUNDS OR TICKET CHANGES!!!

    - We have created a "Parent Handbook" which answers almost everything! (from inclement weather plan to medicine, track location to camp schedule, drop-off time to maps of the SURGE campuses). The handbook will take you about 15 minutes to read, but we HIGHLY recommend reading it!

    - We'll keep you updated on important camp info before and throughout SURGE, so when registering, please ensure we have your correct email address. That will be our main communication channel to you!

    - Remember to check your "confirmation email" once you're registered. This will include the kid's check-in date (June 7th), the link to our Parent Handbook, and confirmation that we have your correct email address. No confirmation email means that we might not have received your registration.

    - Friday Night of SURGE is our Family Finale beginning at 6 pm; the whole family and even friends who didn't attend SURGE are invited. "Save the Date" in your calendar for Friday, June 12th, from 6 pm to 9 pm.

    Please note that due to security reasons, we DO NOT ALLOW any parents/guardians to stay and watch their child’s track during camp (6pm-9pm).  Any parents that must stay must remain in their car during camp time. Thanks for allowing SURGE camp to be safe and fun for everyone.

                                                    Art

                                                    Kids in this class will learn to use different art mediums in lessons that reinforce God’s truths.  Participants should wear clothing that they will not mind getting paint on.

                                                    Backyard Games

                                                    This class will have all the best summertime backyard fun!  Kids will learn the basics of games like corn hole, ladder ball, Can Jam, four square, Spike Ball, Cross Net, and badminton.  Get ready to have a blast with some friendly outdoor competition!

                                                    Baseball

                                                    Learn the basic skills of baseball and softball. Wear sneakers or cleats and shorts. (Kids can wear cleats, but they cannot wear them into the Worship Center for large group.) Bring gloves and bats if you have them.

                                                    Basketball

                                                    Kids will learn the fundamentals of passing, shooting, ball handling, rebounding, and defense through skill-based instructions and small-sided scrimmages.  Wear comfortable sneakers, and come ready to drop dimes and make it rain!

                                                    Cheerleading

                                                    Girls will learn chants, a short dance,  jumps, motions, and a minimal amount of stunting.  Some cartwheel and round-off work may be done. Wear modest, comfortable clothing and sneakers. No open-toed shoes.  Campers will be able to take their NEW pom-poms home at the end of the week!

                                                    Kids will work with various materials to make fun crafts that they can take home at the end of the week.

                                                    Are you a fan of making crafts? This track will allow kids to make fun and creative crafts every single night that they get to take home! Bring clothes you aren't afraid to get messy and your amazing creative mind!

                                                    E-Sports

                                                    E-Sports is an exciting and competitive track where students develop skills in teamwork, strategy, and gameplay across popular video games. Participants will learn game mechanics, communication tactics, and the fundamentals of professional-level play while competing in structured tournaments. Whether aspiring to go pro or just looking to improve, this class offers a dynamic and engaging environment for gamers of all skill levels. *Consoles will be provided, so there’s no need to bring your own from home.*

                                                    Field Day Fun

                                                    Kids will learn that exercise can be fun by participating in field day-type games and competitions.  Get ready for a challenge, and don’t be afraid to get wet.

                                                    Learn the basics of the game of football – offense, defense and kicking while participating in drills and scrimmage games. Wear comfortable clothing and sneakers. Cleats can be worn during the track but not inside the Worship Center for large group.

                                                    GrillMasters

                                                    This track is for the Meat Lover in all of us!! We will be teaching the kids to cook meals on the grill, from a competition-level Master Griller, from scratch using fresh ingredients.  They will learn how to properly set the table and most importantly how to clean up after themselves!  They also get to eat what they have prepared each night.

                                                    Jiu-Jitsu

                                                    Kids will discover the power of faith through Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. They will learn strength, discipline, and respect on the mats.  Kids will build unbreakable character, confidence and a deeper relationship with Jesus as they roll with a purpose.

                                                    Kids will learn how to make amazing Lego creations and come up with unique designs. Who knows? We might find a few master builders!

                                                    Photography Fun is a creative and hands-on track where students explore the art of capturing stunning photos. From mastering camera settings to composing the perfect shot, this class covers essential photography techniques in a fun and engaging way. Bring a simple digital camera or smartphone...so whether using a professional camera or a smartphone, students will learn to see the world through a new lens and bring their creativity to life!

                                                     Get ready for fun on the court! In this Pickleball track, students will learn the basic skills of pickleball, including serving, rallying, movement, and teamwork. This track is perfect for beginners who want to learn a new sport, build confidence, and have a great time with friends.

                                                    Kids in this track will learn about making model rockets out of everyday items and then launch them into outer space! This track is for you if you love science, rockets, space, and safely controlled explosions!

                                                    This track is all about getting better at skateboarding! Experienced instructors will teach basic trick techniques and proper safety, so you’ll be sidewalk surfing in no time! All skill levels are invited. A Mini-Quarterpipe and several other skateboard elements will be available for all levels!

                                                    Do you love to snack? Do you love to make snacks? Does the thought of snacks make your mouth water? Then this is the track for YOU! In Snack Attack! you’ll learn how to make healthy, easy and delicious snacks that you can make at home and share with family and friends! ** Kids with food/nut allergies should not sign up for this class.

                                                    Learn the basics of soccer: offense, defense and goal tending. Wear sneakers and shorts. Optional – shin guards, and cleats. Cleats can be worn during the track but not inside the Worship Center for large group.

                                                    The best place to play games is in the comfort of your own home! This track will teach kids the basics of Ping-Pong, Billiards, Foosball, Air Hockey, and other various games. Get ready for a great time relaxing and playing classic indoor table games!

                                                    Learn the basic skills of volleyball. Wear sneakers and shorts. The younger group will be using softer balls and a lowered net for the best volleyball experience possible!
